I lost my manuel for my 97 Eclipse Spyder GST and was wondering if anyone else owns one, what grade of oil do you use and how much?

so, where im from this is a well debated issue... Here are some of the different opinions

Syn - pro "better because high mileage vehicles need the extra protection for stickier parts such as lifters."
con - "high mileage engines have tolerances that are much less than they used to be, and a synthetic will slip past the seals easier." This one i know. less than a day after i switched to syn my valve cover gasket started leaking.

conventional pro- thicker to stick to parts better. Doesnt leak as bad.
con - its conventional oil... syn performs better.

So since no verdict was even come to.

But i use syn only because i have a hard time gettin in at 3K im usually in @ 4k... syn breaks down slower that conven.

I use conventional I heard some bad things about synthetic but what I hear it pretty much evens out between the bad and good.
