Sorry if this is a topic previously discussed, but I am changing the oil on a 97 eclipse 420a with about 65000 miles on a rebuilt. With the miriad of oils and filters on the market, are there one;s that work better for these engines? Conventional vs synthetic? What about blends? Also, what about oil filters.?

 

Just stick with convention oil assuming you don't have a turbo. Same with filters. If you treat your car right it will last. Just don't beat it.

 

i use synthetic..........Castrol Syntec or Royal Purple, or Mobile 1 FTW!

 

SYNTHETIC!!!! Stay away from fram filters too
