oil in spark plugs??

Default oil in spark plugs??

well yesterday my friend and I were changing the spark plugs on his 96 eclipse gs(long time since they were change) he has car the car for around a year now, and he never did it,I just asume he did but I guess wrong, well when we took the spark plugs out the 2 outer plugs had some oil in them the 2 in the middle didn't, how come?? I have never seen that before, what can be causing it?? what problems can happend because of the oil in spark plugs??

I would guess he has a bad headgasket , but don't quote me on that.

Hopefully there isn't a crack in the block as well. Had friend with a neon and she had the same problem when I changed the plugs for her. When she took it to a mechanic they said she had a cracked block. Hopefully it did not go that far

It might not be the gasket, could just be the seals, but from what iv'e heard the head gaskets in those 420a's arnt the greatest.. Looks like you got a nice head re-build coming.

at a shop.... between 900-1200, i had a friend do it for me for 300. and a good head gasket will run you like 100 bucks

yea it the labor that will kill you cuz most shops are looking at around 10 hours of work at least.
