So i fixed a huge boost leak today an di was soo happy! Then i decided to install my cdplayer, Well after i got the cd player in i was going to go cruse and "feel the boost"lol. Well i started down my street and then all of a sudden......another bigg boost leak!!! WTF. It is still pushing 15 psi but it is bogging down again[sm=shootshoot.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif]grr. what happend when i was installing my cdplayer?!!! oh well it was too good to be true.

 

Oh yeah... My idle is acting funny too now. Again fine before cdplayer now it is really low and it seems like its missing and want to stall.
Maybe i pissed off the allmighty DSM god.

 

Well i doubt you did anything to the car when you installed your cd player uhm by any chance did you unplug your Mass airflow meter when you were fixing your boost leaks? Ive left my mine unpluged after working on the car so many times and it makes the car have the symptoms you are talking about

 

you probably just had a coupling come off again. If they arnt tighten back down right, or are cheap ones then its will keep happening

 

I swear you posted just a couple days ago how much you love that car?

i'd invest in some better/stronger couplers. they are obviously more expensive but this problem wont happen until you get to a higher hp mark.

Hahahha so true. After driving around some more it is starting to seem that there is not another big boost leak. It is acting a little diffrent, Like before i could rev to 7k if not in gear but i cant not. it goes up to 5 then seems like its misfiring. Also i am still getiing a steady 15 lbs of boost and it does not go down, Before it would go to 5lbs andand thats it. i just put in new ngk plugs that came pre gapped and new wires the other day. What do you guys think?
