Ordering A ACT 2100
It's time for a new clutch. I'm actually surprised that the stock clutch lasted so long.
I have decided to buy ACT 2100 with a street disc from slowboyracing.com. My goal is to make close to but not over 300 horsepower, and I dont think I'll be going to the track anytime soon.
My question is, is it a really good idea to replace the flywheel too? Or am I safe leaving the one I have in there?
And before I order it, what would be the best choice for performance? the 4 puck, 6puck, or the street disc?

if your gonna daily drive it then get the street disc. The puck clutches really are for track driven cars. And just get the flywheel resurfaced and it should be fine. The 2100 wont overload the stock one.

like TheEngineer said, you don't have to get a new flywheel but getting a Lightweight flywheel from somebody liek Fidanza will give you anywhere from 10-13whp gain and will also let you rev up faster.

id like to hear how flywheels give more hp. Lightened flywheels are nice dont get me wrong, taking away rotational inertia will make your car more rev happy, but thats like saying buying lighter rims adds horsepower

it's simple... lighter = faster/more powerful. the same reason that lightweight underdrive pulleys make you more powerful and lightweight crankshafts, driveshafter etc. and yes the flywheel will let you rev faster.
