overheating problem
hey i just bought my second 2g eclipse this one is a 97 gst that i bought for $3000. it has alot of problems but the one i can't figure out is the car overheats only when the turbo spools up. could the turbo be going bad oh yeah and the check engine light is on for idle air control system malfunction could that be a turbo problem too. i'm hoping it is cause i just dropped 3500 dollars on performance parts. would've spent more but damn cali's emission laws are so strict. also the car has a greddy fmic which i know is part of the reason why it is overheating. but my other eclipse never overheated like this when i put the intercooler in.

RE: overheating problem
This happened to another one of our members, i think it turned out to be a kinked line going to or coming from the turbo. The IAC Problem won't affect too much, pretty much only the idle. Also, flush the coolant system, it may be old fluid that's corroded and not flowing well. Wow, a 97 modded GST for only $3000? I gotta move down to california.
