how about engine enamel with some GOOD clearcoat on top? if powder coating is not an option it could be haha, id really go for what silver says though, hes teh king XD

For the best stuff, you can get at any auto parts store. Go with Duplicolor Engine Enamel. 500 degree. That will work fine.

automotive paint works too, i painted mine with leftover base / clear from my race car (and then of course i cracked it)
most paints will handle 200+ degrees with no problem. some cheap spray bomb clear coats will turn brown with heat.

make sure you clean your cover really well before using that spray engine enamel like TE said... cause i tried doing it to my muffler without really prepping it that well, and it all came right off... bummer

power coat is the only way to go its not that expensive from what i have seen around here and it just looks gorgeous.

i will agree powder coat looks awsome but im not sure i can find anyone local that does it.

lycan, if you want to have a second valve cover to have while you ponder on what you wanna do so that you can experiment on or whatever. i have a spart 420a valve cover that i'll sell you for little - nothing. basically just 10 bucks + shipping to whereever you are. i have no need for it and if i can put it to use i will. i paid 60 for it so you are getting a hell of a deal.

let me get back to you in a couple of weeks. i am interested though. im not in a big rush to change my gasket yet i already have it but i need to use my clipse.
