Driving along and my 97 eclipse 2.0 just quit. Turns over but no start. The only light that comes on when key is turned on is the oil lamp. No Batt,no chk eng. I've tried my hand scanner but now will not link, just says error. Anybody have this happen. I'm thinking fuseble link or ecu.

timing belt wouldnt knock out the obdII port would it? I remember havin the issue before but mine was an electrical oversight. Do your interior lights and everything else work? Nothin in my car worked until I traced back a short in the wiring.
