very true.
see and here is the problem with something being clogged, if it were clogged, it wouldnt be spitting outas much fuel as it was supposed to, so you would actually be getting better gas mileage.
oh well, time for process of elimination

and just the oposite would happen if he had a bad o2 sensor... it would read lean and start dumping a $hit load of fuel he doesn't need and run it rich as it can.

My guess is a bad o2 sensor.

we are obviously still waiting for him to answer... if you are asking what a CEL is... it stands for Check Engine Light.

I doubt its an O2 sensor.
I flushed my induction system today and blew out a TON of carbon. The throttle plate opened up so good.
Then sucked out my tank and filled it with fresh gas.

Gonna change the fuel filter in a little bit, then drive it a week and see whats up.

Well, there are generally two o2 sensors. One is for air/fuel and the other is for the Cat and checking it's clogged/not clogged status.
The upstream one (air/fuel) won't throw a CEL if it's not 100%, only the downstream one (by the cat) will.
Keep in mind how old the motor is and how much rich exhaust gas has passed that poor upstream o2 sensor, lol.
I'll stick with the front o2 being the cause of the milage.
