I have a quick question for the experts out there. I have a 99 GS with about 67,000 original miles on it. I want to do some regular maintenance, but I am unsure what type of plug and wires to get for it. I see they sell platinum & iridium plugs. I also have a Magnaflow Cat back exhaust, K&N short ram air intake & a header. Is there any other special maintenance I should do too it????
I am also in a new for a pass. side ball joint. Is it true these are dealer items only???

Stick w/ ngk for plugs and wires, also have the timing belt and water pump changed if it hasn't been done yet.

The ball joint can be gotten from anyone its not just a dealer item, but I believe its an expensive part.

 

Yeah OEM NGK's will work out great. i think the plugs you want are BKR6ES, but double check your owners manual/Haynes/Chilton. And your local parts store will have your ball joints, BUT you will have to buy the whole arm because they are pressed in. Depending on which one you need (because there are two) they start around 75 and go up to 125.
