Heres what happens. The battery is dead so i had to jump it so it was turning over for a littlewhile then i got it to start then i had to hold the gas to kep it on and there was no idle. then i see theres oil dripping from the manifold. can the idling be from the vacume hoses (the ones that are on the intake) being hooked up wrong?

dude their are these things in your exaust called 02 sensors which are needed for a efi system to work and if your entire exaust is not hooked up your car wont run right. Also the oil could be a bunch of things, if you redid the head you should have also replaced the valve seals... which is proly what wrong.

[:@] Thats not good at all, the car cant see what its doing, it will lean it out, make it too rich.... it can really mess up your car. That is if it even ran. Those wires are esential as a maf sensor or a cps. Makes sure that you hook up those wires right and attach the rest of the exaust so the car can get a reading.

For the valve springs... its becuase you need a special tool to do it. Check out ls1tech.com some guy makes a tool for 25 bucks that will do the job opposed to the regular tool that costs 110.

Auto Zone also has a program where they let you borrow specialty tools instead of buying them.
