Question on #1 Cyclinder?

<FONT size=2>I have a 1991 Eclipse 1.8L.Which cyclinder is the #1 cyclinder on the 1.8?The one closes to the belts or tranny? And with the #1 cyclinder on TDC, Where should the rotor be facing?</FONT></P>
