Default Question about high performance tires....

I have practically brand new high performance tires on my 17" rim 2001 eclipse and lucky me got two nails in one of my tires...One of the nails hit square in the middle of the tire so i know its fixable with no problem, however the second nail went in about an inch from the corner of the tire...And im wondering if a plug job would be alright or if a hole that close to the edge of the tire should be totally replaced with a new tire? thanks!

As long as they will patch it, it should work.

No harm in spending the extra money for another patch since it is off anyway. If it doesn't work then you will need a new tire, but if it does then you saved yourself atleast $100.

Yea, may as well try the plugs, not gonna hurt anything as long as you've got your spare in case it doesn't work.

Yep, a plug will usually cost $15 for the first one and $5 for additional ones. Just have to look around.
