Quick! Need help NOW!

RE: Quick! Need help NOW!
Same here...I prefer all specs be adhered to on my car. I have already had the experience of my left front wheel breaking off and my car slamming to the ground...$4000. front end body damage, left door twisted off when wheel flew off, transaxle pulled out. Mitsubishi couldn't kiss my *** enough after that! And all I did was take it into the dealer for servicing on my CD player. They checked TSBs and found the front wheel bearings had been recalled, so I gave them the go ahead to take care of it. Doing about 40mph when my car slams to the ground and the wheel completely snaps. Granted, I'm a female and don't know that much about this sort of thing, but I do know above all else, I want a safe ride, so specs will be followed where needed.

Yep... ****ty wheel bearings will do that. Great job Mitsu.
Future reference... if your on the side of the road with a flat... dont worry about Tq specs... just make sure they are as tight as you can get them.. and thats just fine. Even the pros dont bother with tightening them to any specific spec.. just by hand. So maybe that will help put your mind at rest.
