I have finished rebuilding my engine. Starts and runs fine but i have what sounds like lifter ticking. Checked timing all looks good. Checked cam followers they seem to be pumped up with oil. What should I check on next, any ideas would help. Had a valve job done on head while I was working on engine.

 

One other thing while the engine is at idle its quiet, no ticking. but rev it up some you can hear it.

 

Louder when you rev it up, maybe a valve tap.

 

From the timing?
