Recirculation

I was just wondering if it really messes up your engine if you make your BOV not recirculate. I want to make mine louder, and I was just wondering if you guys experienced any fuel problems who do not have a recirculation kit. And does it hurt performance?

Venting boost to atmosphere is usually not legal, but if you don't have emissions tests don't worry about it.
It will eliminate boost creep, but will confuse your MAS unless you have switched to a speed/density program. Your MAS accounts for air that has circulated through the turbo and the BOV, but if it is released to atmosphere the MAS will not know it and may cause a rich mixture.

nate: have you changed your intake? also, have you removed the licp silencer( the black plastic thing before the intercooler)? generally it is better to keep it all in... loud is cool. but your computer is much happier if it all stays accounted for.
