I dunno, ive tested both gases on my spyder, and it hasnt made a difference.. Im running a 14b turbo on 10lbs of boost and the motor sounds fine.. I use to run 93 in it, but after awhile I started to not really care about that car since im planning on selling it, so I started using the 89 octane.. Hasnt done a thing to the motor and ive put about 5,000 miles on it with that octane.. I do agree, if you really care about your car then run higher octane, but if its your daily driver and you put 100 miles a day on your car, I personally would go with the 89..

Just the lead. Its cheaper for them to make it as a leaded fuel. However running leaded fuel will start to clog some of your electrical components, like your O2 sensors. And also youll notice the tail pipe starting to turn grey instead of black. And it has a distinct smell (good smell)

I have a N/A 3G GS and I run 93 I can tell the diff when the gas went way up and I went cheap plus it may be my imanation but it seems like less than 91 burns faster? I only use BP/Shell/Mobil and as a last resort Citgo but, thats just me.

ive rarely seen unleaded 110 anywhere, most places sell turbo blue, cam2, sunoco race fuel, citgo red (now marathon) and theyre all leaded. if you dont have a cat and like to replace your 02 sensor more often you can run it, it actually helps seal up the valves even on newer engines. but it coats the o2 sensor and makes them work slow.and will plug up a cat within a couple tanks of running it. it makes a greyish powder look in your exhaust instead of black.I can get turbo blue 115 for $5.40 a gallon, or the citgo red for $3.60 a gallon from the pump. Those all burn really hot and dont help the heat issue with boost at all.
now theres this nifty stuff called Rocket thats 120 octane, has acohol in it and burns colder, but you have to step your fuel up 20% to compensate for the fast burn rate. but man does that **** run good and EGT stays low. makes for hard cold starting too. (almost impossible with 7:1) so you have to give it a squirt of plain gas. you can lean it out to 12:1 and get no knock and no high EGT ( mine stayed under 650C) on that stuff with 30 psi.
oh did i mention over $6 a gallon[&:]and you can only buy it by the 55 gallon barrel.

i think i know the smell of it... my friend who runs their drag car runs 115 i think... but they used to run straight alcahol so i'm pretty sure i know the smell and yes your right, smells good. they are down to 5.6's in the 1/8th and soon to take thier solid chasis and make it tubular and be running 5.1's. and they arne't even transbreaking yet!!!!!!!!!! if they did that w/ the tubular chasis they'll be runnin 4.9's. isn't that just freakin rediculous!!!
