Default remove drive shaft

I'm repairing clutch-master and slave rebuilt and bled-need to replace throwout bearing and clutch disc. Everything is done except removing drive shaft from transfer case. What's the best way to remove. A mechanic friend said pry them out and drop tranny. Any other suggestions?

Remove the transfercase (which has to come out when dropping the trans) and slid the driveshaft out.
