I have a 97 Eclipse GST Spyder that needs a new bulb in one of the reverse lights... does anyone know about what type of bulb I need or any other info. I live in Canada... haha, and this, you will find amusing. I took the whole housing out and brought it into a Canadian Tire here in Vancouver, the guy said he didn't know how to open the housing and said that he didn't know what bulb it was that fit in. He also didn't have the year of my Eclipse in his Computer... so basically he was like "sorry, I can't help you"....
so i turn to this forum....
any helpful hints would be appreciated...

on my car its a #1156 bulb. i cant see why your car would be different. your local parts store should have one.

 

Go to advanced auto, Autozone, Even walmart has a booklet that tells you what bulbs your car needs

 

how do you open the housing.... i know that sounds ridiculous, but I tried twisting it, and I broke one of the tabs off... am i supposed to be twisting?
and the reason that the local stores couldn't help me here and why my car isnt' in the book is because the 97 Mits Eclipse was never sold in Canada... and I would assume the books are government issued, or it is at least provided by a Canadian company...
