the top hole was already plugged up with a screw by someone else.
Thats not suppose to be plugged with a screw... Are you talking about the whole that is coming from the top of the valve cover pointing towards the intake?

no i didnt forget to plug it in, but im starting to think it went bad!!!
but i cant tell if I have a CEL since the car wont stay on.

[/blockquote] it was actually the top hole of the bsc restrictor. and i must have been driving like that for months since i bought the car.


I picked up an obd 2 code reader. so hopefully something will pop up.

all fuses are good!!!

well since the ecu was reset, i dont have any codes. lol

only problem now is that i cant start my car for the ecu to read any codes. lol

my battery isn't strong inough to start the car. just for all acc.

and code reader says.

camshaft positioning sensor - bank 1 circuit malfunction

so is it a bad camshaft sensor, or can something else cause that???

check the connection there, ive had mine look like it was plugged in but it wasnt pushed on all the way and it barely makes a connection

If its a 420A, I have the same thing.
A screw in a threaded hole in the valve cover.
But its bot a full hole, and theres a bracket between the screw and the valve cover.
It holds that vacuum line in place.

a bad camshaft postion sensor will definetly cause the car to not start

beautifull well thats my problem then. now i just need to remove the cam sprocket to get to it.

any ideas before i screw up my timing???
