Default Shift lag

Anyone ever have a little hesitation in shifts between 3rd and 4th in a 2nd gen.?

Its not bad, it just feels like a gremlin holding the shifter for a second, then dropping into gear.

I had a Ranger that did that slighty from 1st to 2nd, and it ended up being the shifter itself.

Already changed tranny fluid.
Took it apart today and the shifter itself is cracked, almost in 2.
Ordered a short throw to replace it.

definatly a good choice, i'd still invest the extra 20-25 bucks for the stainless steel bushings though, it really makes a big difference.
