Default Shiftlock override on a 2g DSM

Hey, so like I said, Im here in Hudson, FL. One of the many things I need to accomplish is getting my 2G up and running. Unfortunatly, because Im ignorant... I left the keys in MD. Which is just as ****ing well anyway, due to the fact that the alterntor is dead, so I wouldnt be going far regardless. Either way, I need to be able to ROLL her places, specificaly about 15ft back from the garage where she is now. Shes an auto, but Im not finding a way to engage any kind of shiftlock override to get the car to roll places (the car was unlocked luckily) any ideas??

Nope, shiftlock keeps you from doing it. It wont move at all.

Unless there is a opening for the override by the shifter, you're screwed.
If there is an override hole, just put a key in it and push down.

How about where the linkage connects at the transmission. Disconnect it and move the arm on the trans. by hand/wrench. Thats how towing companies do it when they have to pick up from the front of rear wheel drive vehicles.

what you could do if your just moving it 15 ft... im not sure if its awd or not, but even if it is, jack up both ends of the car, and get a couple people to help, and roll the car back on the jacks... that'd be a little better than pulling linkage

haha i think everyone's done it... ive had to do it to my mustang to tuck into the corner of the garage... you really only need 2 jacks, and maybe 3 or 4 people, 1 to push or pull each jack, and the other 1 or 2 to help guide it aaaaaaaaaand make sure it doesnt fall off the jacks haha... think that'd be ur best bet
