well if you are a name ***** (like me) you'll go for the B&M, i just believe in getting what i pay for. but like i said my friend's is holding up just as well as mine is..... so its just preference really

Do you think a short shifter also depends on horsepower/ power of the car? Like, do you think the exact same short shifter set up would be ok if it were put in a 400 horsepower car compared to a 150-200 horsepower car?

no, the short shifter won't give/take any hosepower to your car, only make your shift shorter and more solid so your throw doesn't take as long.
