Default signal lights wont work...

(97 eclipse gs)
ive checked all fuses, so i thought it might be the flasher so i bought one at autozone and it was a round one with two prongs and the chilton says the flasher is under the driver side by the fuse panel buti cannot find one, the only one i found was behind the radioand its a box looking relay with a plug in with like 8 wires running to it... so i went back to autozone and they said that the round one is the only thing that pops up, any ideas?? well anyways i went to a junkyard and pulled one off and it still doesnt work, i mean the hazzards work just not the turn signals, could it be the part on the steering wheel may have burnt out?

[99 Eclipse]

Okay. So When I bought my eclipse, close to a month ago, and do all the engine repairs myself. After putting it back together, and getting it to run. My blinkers were working. I drove to a friends house, and on the way back home, after chit chattin with him for a few hours, my signals were not working. YES- my hazards work. My signal switch was working! All fuses are good. Could My switch have gone bad on me that quick, from no accidently bumps or anything. It didnt get hit. Signals just stopped responding to the signal lever.

????????????????????????
