Default smoke question

ok well last night i was in a drive thru andi seen smoke coming up in my window..well gettin right down to it, it does need a alternator the check engine and battery light is on, and i had to unhook the idle air control valve/sensor, to get it to idle right whenever it warms up..so could that be a reason, white smoke-maybe blueish..please help me out

turn ur car on again... smell the smoke... don't sit there and inhale it lol just get a wiff. do you have the 4g63 (turbo) or 420a (non turbo) motor? if it's the 420a i'd say w/o any other information that it's a head gasket. these motors are known for blowing them. i replaced mine about 2k miles back. check ur coolant level and smell the smoke and let us know wha tyou come up with. if you are mechanically inclined you can do it urself for just a tad bit over 150 bucks (250-300 if you do the timing belt, water pump, idle pulley and tnesioner pulley) if you do have a blown gasket and do repace it... that would be a good time to change ur alternator.

I think itsa 4G63T hes got... only due to the stock fogs in the picture there.. though his name would lead me to believe otherwise... GST owners generally flaunt it...

I wouldnt go that far, Ron, I believe it was an option on GS/ESi and std. on GST/TSi and up... Most GS that Ive seen though, have not had fog lights... dealer option, like the wings.

just go down to autozone and have that CEL scanned and see whats wrong. And you said you unhooked the IAC. What was it doing at warmup that made you do that?

Wow, Wingo, (OT) but the stripes look really decent on a 3G... kinda make it look like a Camaro... nice...
And I still thin Engineers sig. is great.
