Someone Talk To Me (Eclipse GS turbo) Street Racing
It doesen't have to be a GSX....The 420a works in wierd ways if thats what it is, One of my friends has one his mods are CatBack, DC Headers, K & N Intake and he barley beat a stock gst and kept up with a V6 Mustang. I have a spyder with a flowmaster cat back and he beat me and Im not ashamed to admit it he has more mods. Both engines start out with the same HP just that the 4g64 will be a better car to turbo. Your still going up against a non stock turbod car I don't care what engine it is with mods over a stock he might have you even though we wouldn't want to admit it. AWD should always (In our eyes launch) or just be impossible to take off the line. I raced an Subaru WRX STI and I had him off the line but he smoked me after that. I raced a V8 mustang GT with Intake and ECU Chip Catback flowmaster, I had him off the line and he caught up I had him from the start of the roll but as soon as i shifted he caught me. The mustang is rear it beat the subaru! off the line and off the roll. It depends on the driver and if you didn't get it good on the launch and he got it perfect then you had to play catch up with a turboed moded car. Just be worried if it was a stock 420a AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
a N/A mitsubishi eclipse without spray or turbo should never beat a GST or GSX stock even if the drivers are crappy. With catback, headers and K&N that is like a total of 15hp on a 420a and that isnt even bring it close to the stock HP or ft lbs that the GST or GSX puts out.

Now back to this thread which none of your arguements even referenced. We are talking a 420a beating a GSX off the line. I just dont see it happening
it might be a lil harsh, but im with TE on this one... a lot of people alk about the car itself, when matter of fact is that the driver himself is really an important part of the speeding.... plus, the sleeper mode is something a LOT of people do.... i wouldnt doubt him disguising as a RS or GS and really having a GST, hell, ive seen rabbits with 2.0 turbo'd engines... sleepers are everywhere
Take a few pictures of the outside of the car and underneath if you can.. That will tell you if its awd, and it will have an intercooler on the right side in front of the wheel or a big front mount.. If its a front mount, chances are he has a 16g or bigger...
All im saying is it is the driver that counts! Na sti didn't launch........tried but didnt. 420a is slow but still depends on driver and i thought it was funny when the 420a beat the stock gst! im not saying it will happen everytime I just said in that case it did no matter what the reason was.
