my friend has a 98 eclipse that says GST on the back but when u pop the hood its got the single cam 2.4 in it??????what the hey? now this GSt sticker isnt a crappy lookin aftermarket one its like stock there is no evidence that its just a sticker slapped on there and plus 98 is 2g why is there a 2.4 in there in the first place????? am i missing something or did he get douped?

yea its a spyder with a stock gst sticker on there but when u pop the hood its got the 2.4 and its got the little sticker that says the car conforms to 1998 standards and it says 2.4 engine on it and stuff

 

My guess is either someone put the sticker there or the hatch was changed out with a GST hatch. Did the person say it was a GST?

By the way the 2.4 is meant to be in that car... its called the Spyder GS

 

aaaahhhhh thats probably what happened they must of replaced it with a gst hatch as long as that motor does go in that car i didnt know that i thot they started that motor in the 3g
