how much spray can a 420a stock engine take on a 95 eclipse? the engine block is iron so it should be fine, and i hear that most any car can handle a 50 shot. anyone know if 75-100 is pushing it, or what the max is for a 2nd gen eclipse?

 

25 would be safe... 50 your taking a chance... should be able to handle it tho... But don't even try the 75 or 100... Not if you like your motor...

 

My friend was shooting 80 in a 70k 420a, absloutly no problems. No problems. Personally I wouldent go over 100, track 125 once or twice just to check it out but dont go over 100 daily.

 

anything more then 50, your gonna be floating your valves... Never a good thing to keep doing to your car...

 

it will also depend on IF he knows how to use it. if he is going to be careless with it and act like his on 2F2F, then a 50 shot will be enough that he won't blow the engine. if he is responsible when using it, then a 75 shot would be good.

 

wet or dry?

 

wet a bit harder to set up... safe

dry very easy to setup... not to safe

 

i ran a 420a with a Zex 55 wet shot last summer...it ran 15.0s with 130k, and a new clutch/diff, but completely stock engine.
