hey man your best bet would be to go for the hayame suspension, andi have a 96 eclipse, these are like springs, stuts, and coilovers all rolled into one. mine were $625.00, and thats also for free shipping, i know its a little much butthere well worth the money..</P>

A proven Shock/Spring combo for dsmer's is the Eibach Pro's and Tokico Illumina's. Springs should be about $150 and shocks go for like $300. Hey Dgut, how's the hayame suspension? Is it more bouncy or stiff? How low does it drop the car? And what are you driving, 1g or 2g, fwd or awd? I'm curious because i've only seen like two people with the hayame coil-overs and they liked it a lot. But they were 1g fwd guys so i dunno if a 2g guy has them yet. Thanks for the info.

Default RE: Springs or Coilovers?? Brands???? HELP, QUICK!!

I purchased the Hayame Full Coilover Kit HAY10.74.19
for my 99 Spyder GS when I received them I noticed that
the bolt pattern is different. My stock suspension is a 3-bolt top mount
and the hayame's only have a 2-bolt pattern.
I just e-mailed the company to inquire if they could send
me instructions, since it didn't bring any or what to do next.
They also were about 6 inches shorter than the stock, even when
fully extended. If anyone has or knows anyone who has hayame's,
pls help me out. Not only I may be in the hole for the $$, but I also
have my 18" Motegi DPKs on hold until I get this $#!T resolved.

coilovers are ****. try www.machv.com for suspension, also try nopi and jc whittney, my friend found springs for 89.99. i have sprint suspension and my car handles like a miata, something a first gen eclipse shouldnt do.

I just bought Tokico lowering springs with shocks/struts in a set for $360 on the internet. I bought the blues which aren't adjustable for sensitivity. If you want to be able to adjust the shocks, you will want to get the Tokico Illuminas which are the whites. Those will run around $500-$600. It's a really good set except I am going to replace the springs in the back with my stock springs because my wheels keep hitting inside of my wheel well. It may be a problem if you have big wheels. Mine are 18"s. Hope that helps.

ok if you go above a 17 inch rim a suspension aint worth ****. so 17's with springs and a camber kit will work great. sprint springs from jc whitney are the best.
