Default Spyders

Hey I was wondering if there is anyway to slim down the spyder. I heard that its a fat car - 4100 pounds!! Thats pretty heavy. I also heard that much of this weight comes from the convertible motor. Is there anyway that I can get a lighter motor of something that will improve the weight? Any other options for lightening the car? Its a gst 98.

thanks.

You must have a dead body in the back of that spyder to be at 4100 lbs...

and to slim a cars weight you could go the ghetto way and take out the interior and all that jaz but to me its not worth giving up the comfort of a daily driver for a few pounds

Ya, the wieght you would lose by doing that isnt worth it... Atleast not to me. I think the 2 gen spyders were around 3300-3600 lbs.. Im not sure but thats what I thought... Ill have to weigh mine sometime...

im sure the 2G is lighter because the 3G is much bigger and had a bigger motor my guess would be more toward 3600 to 3800 on those though, but then again I cant remember for sure if the 3G was 4100LBS I think thats what it was though
