Default Squeeling belt?

Well i think its either fan belt or serpentine belt, and its squeeling. Got a 99 eclipse spyder, gs, and well, i owned a galant before this that had same problem. how can i fix this without takin it to shop and make sure it will not squeel anymore cause already had it fixed once.

Shoot it with some belt dressing before you replace it, could just be dried out a little.

I personally don't like the belt dressings only because I've found they it sits in the threads of the belts and causes more slipping. I would say look at the belts and see the conditions of them. If they look worn, replace them and see if that solves it. Another thing it could be aswell is a bearing inside the engine. I had a Maxima with a timing chain, and there were two bearings it rode on that would sqeel primarily when I accelerated or when it was really hot out. It could be somehting alond those lines. Good luck!

lol, you dont have a fan belt. We have electric fans on all cars now. But it could be your Power steering or waterpump/alternator belt.

Try tighting them up a bit.
