Default Is this the starter?

Hey guys again. My car is having a little trouble turning on. Sometimes it starts up right away and sometimes I need to keep the key turned in the ignition to turn on. Is this the starter? Sometimes it doesnt take that long, but sometimes it takes about 2-3 seconds with the key turned in the ignition.

Do you hear a clicking noise? I also had the starter go on both on my eclipses. the N/a eclipse is easy to replace. the turbo is a diffrent story.

Well start to carry a hammer with you. When it wont turn over... hit it and it should turn over

Are you serious about carrying around a hammer? Will that really work? Also, where exactly is the starter located on a 95 Eclipse GST.

The Mitsubishi starter is typically located at the rear of the engine or the front of the transmission bell housing.

here is a website u could find tons of starters specific for eclipses.
