starting slowly
ok ive had my 95 rs for a year now. just got my tranny rebuilt. so i have no intention of swapping it for a manual tranny. my question is can i swap the 420a engine for a 4g63 without getting a new tranny?if they use the same tranny, that would be great.. more over, how difficult would it be to bolt on the upgraded engine into the frame of a rs? would there be ne problems with installation or fitment any dealt with? btw.. thinkin of a turbo 4g63.. wanna get my facts before i jump it.. thanks guys.

RE: starting slowly
Well there is one big problems with doing this. Its not going to work .
The 420a is backwards from the 4g63 so the only way to do it would be to totally redo the entire engine bay. And for the cost of that, its cheaper just to buy a turbo eclipse. My suggestion is to build up the 420a. They are capable of handling boost around 8psi with the right mods. Check out this site for stuff on it. http://www.hahnracecraft.com/

RE: starting slowly
the engineer is half correct YES it can work but on the flop side yes it will cost more for the conversion than it would for a new gst or gsx... sooo either build up the 420a where with a bored and forged bottome end the engine can hold up to about 20psi on stock head orrrrr buy a gst or gsx.
