Default Stock alarm

ok...I just bought a 00 Eclipse GT with the stock anti theft alarm option installed...when I lock the car (either from the power locks button on the inside or from the lock on keyless remote) and then close the doors and let it sit until it is armed, then go and unlock the drivers door manualy the alarm will go off when I open the door...and the only way I have found to make it stop is by pressing unlock on my keyless remote...why is the alarm going off exactly with a simple unlocking of my door and opening it?? I would like to be able to use a damn key to unlock my car incase the keyless entry remote fails...any help would be greatly apprichated....

Default RE: Stock alarm

i have the same problem in my 99 eclipse. the girl i bought it from lost the remote though. the one thing ive found that works is to unlock the car from the passenger side (manually with the key) and then unlock it form that side before opening the driver side. thats what works on mine. give it a shot and let me know
