what about a 1g 4g63? i just turned mine from 12 up to 28 psi and good god does that thing pull hard & never leans out, im afraid of melting the turbo or stock pistons though and it lasted 3 good runs when it blew the intake manifold gasket

I have seen a video of some dude pushing what looked like to be 38.. .and got away with it ... for only a couple dyno pulls. and BAM lol. I think he could actually get away with 28.
However... the turbo is going to suffer. It shouldnt be taken past 25 psi. The life of that turbo is seriously impared.

so i have a friend who now owns a 1g, what would be the maximum boost on the stock 14b with stock fuel system, we turned it up to 14 psi once, it pulled good and never broke up or missed, but it looked pretty lean on the spark plugs - he just wants to turn up the boost to the maximum safe level for stock evrything (except exhaust - no cat) and leave it..... for now, untill he gets the HP fever - you can never have enough
we used my controller and guage so he's back to stock for the moment
i want to know the max you can run stock setup for short acceleration spurts light to light, as long as the EGT dont get too hot it should be ok for the most part ???
as far as my car goes im keeping it at 18 psi , it runs really strong there, its fast enough for me 28 it wants to spin till 70 mph

And BTW the 16G is not gonna love you for to long at 28PSI. the EVO8 gues run that and it usually only last a few thousand miles before it starts to whine at them
