alright, so my ride's coilovers that came with the car that i bought it are maxed out, and i want it highier because i want my body kit to last longer, does anyone know if getting just regular stock front springs will do the trick?

 

it will be higher but softer so you will bounce more and that may be a bad thing

 

are there any aftermarket replacments that are stiff but the same height as a stock one?

 

either tein or eibach are nice springs.

 

ya coilovers... I dont mean EBAY $100 something dollar ones... Im talking real stuff like $1100+

 

tomorrow i'm going to see how far up my coils get. then go from there, but i'll look into that.

 

I have coil spring inserts to increase the ride height after replacing the OEM springs with Eibach. They snap tight onto the coils and I driven over 3k miles on them w/o any problems. Wish I had my OEM springs back. The Spyder is low enough even with the OEM springs.

 

I don't want to put anything in them to make them extend up when they weren't suppost to be like that. and i don't want to damage them either, but i also have a leaking front strut so with getting that replaced i'm thinking i'll be fine, since the strut will raise it up a little.

 

Replacing you struts will not increase your ride height. The springs controls ride height and the struts control the rate of suspension travel. The inserts I installed are designed to do exactly what I am using them for.

You are installing aftermarket parts which alters your vehicle's appearance and reliabliltiy. Your taking chances with every mod.

Your car did not come with camber adjustments so I'm assuming you have installed a set of camber adjustment kit to correct the camber changed by the lowering of you car. So, what is the difference? One of the TSB for suspension noise is to install coil sleeves to eliminate noise.

 

i don't have it slammed to the ground so i don't need to correct the camber, i have tower bars front and back for extra stability. and with eclipse their already low to begin with i just have it about and inch and a half lower than stock with my coils now, maxed out in the front but i have also discovered that i could raise it up a little more, so i'm going to do that the next day off from work i have.
