Strange no start

RE: Strange no start
I'll be taking a trip to Pick'N'Pull Sunday I'll look for one for you. Also something to keep you going for now: Get a long rod and pop the hood. Find your starter and tap on it with the rod (The casing NOT the wires or connectors) tap it a few times THEN try starting. The click you hear is the relay engaging which means the battery is fine. If the click happened multiple times in quick succession THEN you would have a bad battery (Not enough power to maintain the relay engaged) but the single click indicates good battery and a sticky dying starter. I'll let you know if I find a new starter for you.

RE: Strange no start
with a starter i dont really think you can "kill' it yourself. It just kinda wears down over time. That is unless after the car is already started you keep trying to start it and you get that grinding noise.
Here are a couple of cars that i know the same part is in (some maybe be surprising but it is true):
1990-1996 4g63t eclipse/talon
1990-1996 Galant (not sure the model)
1990-1993 laser
1994, 1998 (not sure of other years) Mitsubishi pickup
1987, 1988 (not sure of other years) Mitsubishi Montero
1987 mazda pickup (not rotary)
1995 eagle summit
1988, 1989 dodge colt vista
1988 dodge raider
This is just from what i gather when i do a search for the part
