Default Strange noises!!!

Ok, so I know this will be a little difficult to diagnose, but when my car is cold, it makes a rattling kinda sound right by the belts (driver side). When it is warmed up I dont' hear the sound anymore. It kinda sounds like metal rattling but in time with the belt rotation.

Anyone know what this might be? I know I changed my alt recently so i will check to make sure I tightened everything.

Thanks all.

sounds like it could be a simple heat shield to me... thats what happened to me, it'd rattle at first, then when it warmed up somehow itd stop, so i just took em off and fixed the problem

The liftertick on my car always go away when it warms up. Not saying its like that on every car but it is a very good posability that is what he is hearing.

Yea I've listened to the car from under the hood. It seems to be coming from the driver;s side, where the belts are.

So how would I fix lifter tick? From what I read it's not dangerous right?

Thx

lifter tick is normal, but i do know wat you mean because my car does the same ticking noise on that side, havent figured it out wat it was though, it just sounds like one of the addons on mine though, ac, power steering, somethin like that so i wasnt really too worried about it, kinda interrested to see what the experts say it is so i can go fix it on mine too btw i am almost sure your talkin about what im talkin about so i can get a video clip up in a few days when i get my car back if you dont have it solved by then

Yea a video clip would be nice.

How can I determine if it's lifter tick?

How can I fix this problem?

I did some searching and read that it is sometimes caused by oil depravation, is that true?

Thax all
