Hey, do the oem shift **** on a 97-99 eclipse gs look different than the one on a 97-99 gst? I called around dealership and the prices are different.

 

don't go to a dealer for a shift ****!!!!! go to pep boys, advanced auto, auto zone, ebay... anywhere but a dealer. they sell stock ***** on ebay. you will get it for 1/2 the price. i don't think the shift ***** are different.

 

You should be able to junkyard that bad boy. You have no interest in an aftermarket one?

 

as far as i know the shift ***** are all the same. But like he said there are plently of places where people are parting out cars, or selling the shift *****. Check out dsmtrader.com

 

so auto advance sell those shift ****. do they have to order it?

 

You could always call them or better yet, go into the store.
There is a difference between the two..but there's no rhyme or reason to which one has what. One of them is a leather stitched one and the other is a rubber covered one. My friends 2Gb GS-T has a leather stitched one and is only a tad bit lighter than my counter balanced ****...that's good IMO...once again, I go for a stock part, go figure, lol.
