Default Sun Roof switch

I'm thinking about relocating my sunroof switch to the dash (just below the hazzard switch), has anyone relocated thier switch by chance? I'm wondering what kind of hell I may be in for

Does it bother you that much that it is up there?I've never heard of someone doing that, but i'd assume it would be a pain in the ***. What are you going to do with the hole it will leave behind?

It's just a matter of extending the wiring to the dash. It's not a PITA. You'll still have to keep an opening up there though because that's where your manual sunroof latch is...you know, in case the sunroof motor dies, there's a gear there that you can use to manually close the sunroof in conjunction with one of the spare tire tools.

I have used that thing countless times. BTW, is there ANY version of the 2g DSM that actually USES that button\slot below the hazzard switch?

you'll have to run the wires to either side, down the pillar and back behind the dash... other than that, it's not that big ofa deal. taking the headliner off and shoving it through the pillar isnt' worht it to me but hey... if you want it, do it.

you dont even need one that looks oem. Just get a small little switch. It will work fine. The wiring would be the most difficult parts. Having to take the headliner off and the dash will probably be the most troublesome

not really but you can get a switch to fit in there that's similar to a lot of other sunroom switches... i can't think of any off the top of my head but it sticks out insead of somewhat flat like the stock eclipse swithes. but it's realy no big deal, if you didn't kow anything about eclipses would think it was stock
