Default suspension idea

has anyone hear every put any kind of air ride suspension on a dsm? and would that ruin the handling? just curious thought that might be kinda original and set me apart.

Air ride suspension is a luxury car and show car component... its heavy and unweildly... I wouldnt suggest it for any race or speed type situations.

yes sir.....i have a full air ride system on my 2g. tuckin 20's, 10 switches, 3 wheel motion, FBSS, Pancake, see saw, the works....once you learn the switches you can find te "soft spot" thats totally comfortable 2 ride @. All mine is mounted underneath my car,.tank and all!...So inside can remain stock. And as far as handling, I assume its not as great as coilovers but i was amazed how stiff the cylinders are. The compressed air doesn't give . My car is not a dd tho but I assume it could be.

i think air ride technologies has a race application for air suspension, but getting coilovers is more towards daily drivers and they last longer if you look at the air rider boots and the coil springs.
