Default swapping 420a for a 1g 4g63

I have a 99 eclipse rs with a 420a and i'm getting ready to swap it for a 1g 4g63 turbo. I was wondering if anyone has done this. If so do you have any tips to make it alittle bit easier?

From what I hear it's a total bitch and a waste of time and money. When I see this brought up I usually hear, "Sell the car, buy a GSX or GST." ..something along those lines. Other than that, i can't help you, lol.

depeneds on if you can fab stuff if so than no if you cant fab metal items it will cost alot but a totaled 1g dose not cost alot of money and that provides all the equipment to preform the swap. "motor ecu tranny ..."

I'm doing the swap myself. I'm going to start on it in a couple weeks. I bought a whole car to do the swap, so i don't have alot in it yet. I'm going to put a stock evo turbo Big 16g, intercooler, and injectors. If anyone knows where i can get these at for a resonable price let me know. I'll make sure i take pictures cause i can't find anyone who has done it and documented it.

That swap is a waste of money i was going to do it aswell. everything is different . the Engine is turned the next way you have to make you mounts Nothing on the car plugs up to the 4g63t cause its a crysler my sugguestion to you is to sell your car and get a gst like i did. or if you have the money to swap your engine just buy a turbo kit for the 420 a.

why not let him do the swap? im going to go out on a limb here and say that he's done something like this before. yes there is alot of work, but if you can do it yourself, its not that expensive. and he already said that he has the whole car to do the swap with.
