My current eclipse has a 420a....i owe way to much on it, so how much would it cost to swap in a motor from a gst, and the tranny and erythin else needed? If this is even possible...

hahaha you need to search it is part of the forum rules to search prior to posting. All you did was clutter up the forum more so now when some poor sap comes here to actually search this question he gets 9 trillion threads with the same question and this one is worthless for them lol.

If you think i am mean try other forums lol youd get banned for a few days for it. I was banned from Supraforums for a few days before because I tried hooking some guys up with a good deal on widebands ut that is because I didnt read the rules so oh well I am able to go back on I just wathc myself

wellll..... technicall it CAN be done.... but it would be a lot cheaper and a lot easier to just sell urs and get a GST or GSX or turbo ur current car. the problem is, the 420a's trani is on the right side, and the 4g63 is on the left. BasiCally, they are complete mirror of each other. SO you would have to rip the 420a and everything inside of the engine bay completely out, somehow beat the car to make the 4g63 fit, and then begin replacing every component that you took out... i had a friend try it down here, he got to ripping everything out and stopped lol.

 

I agree with RCJ. Thats how i think. Anything is possible untill proven otherwise. Not cost effective does not mean impossible.

 

it has only been done 2 times for a reason. I cant be done without surpassing the amount it would cost to just buy a GST
