some eclipse's have the third tail light on the spoiler.
and most eclipse spyders have it directly on the trunk.

i was passing my the neighborhood when i saw a fellow eclipse driver driving without a third tail light, no spoiler and no trunk light.
a few days later i was watching fast and the furious re-runs and i noticed the green eclipse did not have a third tail light either.


does the law enforce the third tail light? is it illegal? does anyone care?



and does anyone have a third tail light for a 99 gsx eclipse they can sell me? or know someone? or know a place? or should i just put a bunch of flashlights together and mount it on the window?

 

mount you some flashlights on the window!........NOT wtf?...lol......uhm, third brake light is not neccessary. Not illegal 2 remove your wing. Most guys just have there lights like the pic. below, or the same with a spoiler.

i heard that if you take off aftermarket tint it could hurt the function of the defroster strips. I got my tint for my back and hatch window done by PPG.

 

i was just told it was illegal to ride without a third brake light on your car. not saying anyone is wrong i was just letting you know what i was told it might just be this state. i'm going to have to look a little more into that one good question bro i was woundering the samething after i was told i could not mold mine in and get rid or it all together...

Most vehicles dont have a "Third" tailight.. Atleast the older ones.. The new ones have them.. But its not needed

 

Having a third brake light is undoubtedly safer though.

You notice that light and say "hey, they're stopping"
Sometimes you may not notice the difference in brightness on the regular tails.
