okay, the guy i wanna buy a car off of... runs okay except for he doesn't create any boost. he says it is cuz his wastgate is bad. i looked at it and he only has his wastegate hooked up on the top i believe( may be the side though). he doesn't have both nipples hooked up just one. i know the top is supposed to be at the compressor housing or after the intercooler and the side is supposed to go to the boost controller...

he only has one nipple hooked up, so would this be the cause of him not creating boost? should i call him and have him hook it up or go up there and do it? or should i just drive it home and fix it myself? i am just like wtf? why no boost. and he told me it is cuz the wastegate has been losing boost over time... but it has been hooked up this way the whole time also... weird...

what do you guys think?

 

if it a good deal, motor is good, turbo moves and spins i would buy it and fix it. i wouldnt even tell the guy. could be like he said the wastegate is bad. or just a boost leak( missing or hole in hose).
