DSMtrader.com didnt work because its DSMsource.com. Their classifieds section is called DSM Trader. DSM Tuners, local websites, DSMtalk, etc. Do not go to fleebay for a car, you will regret it. Autotrader, craigslist, yahoo! autos, cars.com. There are soooo many places to get cars.

Word of the wise. Do not geta GST. I got my GST and once it got around 300hp traction was a bitchy issue. I sold that thing off and bought my 1g AWD and I love this thing. AWD is the only way to go.

i agree, AWD or RWD are the ways to go for a car you plan to heavily mod

3g eclipses are slow, even the GT V6. My buddy hasthe V6 GTthat has a $4500 Ripp Mods stupidcharger kit. We raced when my lone mods were full exhaust, 16g and walbro 255. We raced door for door until 115 on the highway. He spent more on his supercharger than I had in my whole car and we ran door for door.

he must have only been on SDS Ripps stage I. cause stage III makes over 400 to the wheels. Not to mention the auto trannys in the 3G is a HP hog and robs you from alot. the 3G eclipse is a comfort ride more than anything it is comfy and reliable but wont be fast without a TON of $$$$

I've always thought the 3g's were more of a "chick car."
Its nothing against anyone driving it, its just the image the car creates imo.

And for the record, the new 4th gens are a great mix in styling.
"Eclipse, a great car no matter whats hiding under your zipper."

its reallymore of a question of reliability or speed... the 2g's are very very fast with not a whole lot of money put into them but have a higher "let me down" rate, the 3g's are very well built, cumfy and spacious but without dumping a huge chunk of change into the car.. it won't be fast. Personally i'm a 2g guy all the way so that's the way i'm gonna tell you to go lol get a 97-99gsx, put a grand into it which will give you a beg16g, fmic, icpiping, fuel pump, and injectors. that alone will put you to about 260-270, with a mbc, wideband and data logger (dsm link), you can push up to 350 w/ that setup.

^^ Youll prob need some cams to get 350 to the wheels on a 16G.

i was cutting as many corners as i could to make it as cheap as possible.... yes cams would help but you could squeeze it.

I wouldnt recommend trying it though. youll be pushing the turbo why to hard. a 16G really stops helping you at like 21-22PSI. I never understood people who ran alot more than that. There was a guy on EvoM runing 29 on his stock turbo he said it spooled to 29 but buy redline it was down to 22 again cause it cant hold the flow and the turbo died shortly after that for a few hard pulls lol
