with a good dyno tune with dsm link on a 16g you can safely get about 320-330 w/o cams. i was just saying it IS possible, not recommended, but possible lol

yea 320-330 and that is where the cams will get you up the 350 range you said before. I know it is possible but its not good for the turbo or your motor. the turbo out of effeicency range will blow hot air, hot air causes knocn det. and higher EGTs you dont want any of those things lol

interesting thanks for the update....i guess im learning at the same time thanks!!

so yeah i also love the 2g i think the way it was built was like advanced for its time...the 3g i really dont like the way it looks so much but like you said its a real comfy ride. but i guess you dont real feel the 210 hp it brings right?
i really want a 2g gst but like i said i cant seem to find one right now. ive been searching like crazy..but im sure if i take my time i will find the right one at the right time....
But how come the 3gs are slow like you guys say it is?
anyways if i dont end up finding the gst should i just stick with buying a 3g eclipse...or what do you guys recommend?

im pretty surprised you cant find a gst for sale. They are always selling somewhere. What kinda distance away are you searching for in Autotrader

on my first search i just found 5 of them:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Erebu...QQcmdZViewItem
they may not be as close as you would like them but they are out there. i live in SC and i bought my GS on ebay in Houston TX, i took a bus out there and had an absolute blast driving it back!!!!

sorry but i dont trust ebay when it comes to cars...im not going to bid on a car that i have never seen or droven before( ive never really used ebay so i dont know what car is good or not)
by the way RCJr9186 um your link is about carbon fiber thing for the car...not the actual car...

autotrader.com i search up to 50 miles my zip code is 33172
i also mark manual transmission and under 80,000 miles ( i dont want to get a car that has more miles than my actuall car)

ok, so looking for a gs-t (minimum of 8 year old car) with under 80k miles, manual trani, within 50 miles...um, good luck man lol sacrafices have to be made to get what you wantsometimes... if it's all of these or nothing... than go with the 3rd gen.

what would you suggest that i should put to search?
i dont have the time or the way to get so far up north to find a car...i know if i really want this car i should sacrifice..but how come people look down on the 3g is it that bad? i mean i dont plan on making it the fastest car out there but how much would i waste to make it an "ok" car to drive so it wont be so bad?
im sorta confused on why the 3g is slow ?
i mean i love the 2g and i would get the gst any day over a 3g eclipse but il keep you posted if i find anything

one more question i saw a 2g eclipse like yours being sold it say 10th anniversary and stuff...whats the diff between the regular gs and yours?
One last thing its out of the topic but lately ive been seing all these cars with "black" tail lights what is that? like a new thing or is that ricing out like altezza lights?or are they cool to roll with
i saw an eclipse like that and it looked pretty ugly

the 3g gt and gts's have decent power but they are just so heavy that they don't delver very well. the 3g's aren't bad cars we are only saying that if you want a performacne vehicle to get a 2g b/c you will spend about 1/3 of the money to get just as fast... 350whp in a 2g will be like 290-310whp in a 3g. you put in a search whereever you are comfortable going... i don't care how far i have to go as long as it's not across the country b/c i'll drive it back and have a blast doing it just like i did in my GS. the only differences in the 97-98 GS and the 99 GS 10th Edition is a set of 17" OZ Racing rims, turbo spoiler, and i believe that the cruise controll is an upgrade also. but that's it.
