top repair
My conv. top doesn't want to raise /lower, at least one of the motors are working. Dealer said needs both motors and computer that controls them. Soundslike they don't know what the problem is and just want toreplace everything and charge me $1500. Any help would be appreciated.

You're right, the dealer just wants money. A while ago, i remember another member on another board had a problem just like yours. He found a replacement motor from the trader and bolted it right up. It cured his problem and it barely cost him over$50. On things likeelectric motors, dealersused to be able to send them back to factory for an exchange, andget a priceminus a core charge. However they'd still charge you full price for the item. This is all i've heard from my buddy that works at the Lexington Lexus Dealership Down here in Ohio. Maybe some dealers are different, maybe not, but it's a horrible work ethic i think.</P>
