Hey, just a quick question. Would anybody be able to tell me the torque spec for the head and manifold. I ordered a chilton manual and its going to be about 2 weeks before it comes in. Just thought iwant to start on it before that. Thanks

 

51-54 foot pounds for the head to block.

 

Straight from chiltons-
Exhaust Manifold= 18-22 pounds

 

ALLDATA shows 72ft/lbs for the head bolts

 

oh, thats what i got out of my book. 51-54 + 1/4 turn

What was the problem? Sypmtoms? Comression test?

 

2 be honest there alot of problems. but the main thing is its missfiring. missfire a bit during idle and alot when i cruise between 2-3k rpm. There an exhaust leak on the top right side of the manifold. You can feel the exhaust pushing out of that side. I am full spooled at nearly 4.5k around. I was told i might have a boost leak or vacum leak. I just need to find out if i do have it , where its coming from. Also 3 engine error code, which i was told from the mitsu dealer that its caused due to the purge solenoid not hooked up i guess, missfire, and MAP sensor or something. .Kinda forgot. soo i kind of have my work cut out for now. Suck cuz i just bought it used and already there alot of things i need to do.
