Okay heres the scoop now. I do have good news about the engine. I just finished up at like 6:30am this morning with installing the engine and I was out there for like 12 hours straight with my buddy. On the first try she started right up and blew some smoke from the oil in the cylinders but after that she ran nice. The 14b turbo spools just fine and has now lag difference between the t25 to the 14b. I found no apperent leaks at all and the timing seems great from what I can tell?? Now on to the problem again. For some reason the idle is at 1,700 rpm's and wont drop at all? All my vac lines are tight and connected. Compression is at 165,170,165,165 all across the board. What is the deal with this crazy idle? Any ideas??? But as to the engine rebuild. I have never done anything this drastic myself besides lots of body work with bodykits and molding body parts, and to tell you the truth it waasnt nothing your average joe could'nt do himself. Just follow directions and watch what your doing and you'll be fine.. So lets see if I can get some ideas on this problem of mine?? Thanks guys

Have you done a boost leak test yet?

No, not yet. What would that have to do with high idle? And say there was a boost leak what would that cause? Thanks

Unplug the mass air sensor and see what happens.

Check the base timing w/ a timing light and adjust it if its off. Also try adjusting the biss screw. If you want more info go to www.vfaq.com.

If you have a boost leak, your car is letting in more air than the ECU is adjusting for.

I know its been awhile since my last post, but I have been busy with work and my school stuff, and I finally have some time to get to the car again. I ended up transporting it to AZ on a car hauler service, and my car still runs like crap. The high idle kinda just fixed itself down to 1100rpm's and found out the AIC was bad. The car still has no power like befor in my original post.. I dont want to take it to the dealer because now im realy strapped for cash being that im a pooooor college kid now.. Any ideas for this? Thanks fellas
